MIAMI, FL — November 2, 2023 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — The 54th edition of the Ibero-American Creativity Festival 2023, sponsored by Rappi and in association with PRODU, held its in-person awards gala this Wednesday, November 1, within the framework of Advertising Week LatAm.
The Domo (Planetarium) at the Papalote del Niño Museum in Mexico City was the setting for bestowing the four Grandes Soles de Iberoamérica, Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year, Network of the Year, Advertiser of the Year and Producer of the Year, and the presentation of the 2023 Grand Slam.
The event had Ray Contreras as master of ceremonies, and the keynote was given by Daniel Marcet, founder and CEO of FIAP, with Mara Fernández, CTO of PRODU.
This year, important sponsoring brands joined FIAP to promote the region’s creativity. In addition to Rappi, the regional leader in the field of quick commerce and retail media, as its official sponsor, Adsmovil, Kellogg’s Company LatAm, Ariadna Communications Group, and Hogarth sponsored the four disciplines of FIAP, Formats, Innovation, Ads, and Production, respectively.
This event comes after the virtual FIAP awards gala held on October 5, where the winners were announced and 32 gold, 56 silver and 92 bronze were awarded.
The FIAP aims to recognize and celebrate excellence in Ibero-American creativity in collaboration with PRODU, the benchmark in entertainment information, technology, marketing and communications.
Relevant creativity
The four Grandes Soles de Iberoamérica went to: Mastodonte TV – wins the Gran Sol of Ibero-America in Production for the video This Is Not America – Residente ft Ibeyi for Sony Music; Fahrenheit DDB, the Gran Sol of Ibero-America in Ads for Redesigning for E-nclusion; Cheil Spain wins the Gran Sol of Ibero-America in Innovation for Samsung Unfear; and AlmapBBDO São Paulo, the Gran Sol of Ibero-America in Formats with Eart4.
Advertiser of the Year went to Change the Ref, a US non-profit organization; DDB, Network of the Year; Valor – Socios de Marcas of Peru, Independent Agency of the Year; alma DDB in the US the Agency of the Year and the Production Company of the Year went to Not Normal Films in the US.
Hall of fame
Charly Alberti, the renowned Argentine musician, trailblazer, creative and environmental activist, was honored as a new member of the Ibero-American Hall of Fame. Alberti joins a select group of figures who for more than 50 years have left an indelible mark on communication. Charly is one of the founders (drummer) of the famous Argentine rock band Soda Stereo (1980), which in 2002 MTV described as the most transcendent and influential in Latin America of all time and in the world.
