MIAMI, FL – May 20, 2015 – (HIISPANICIZE WIRE) – Once again, Wellness4latinos.com with the support of Comunidad Cristiana La Roca Firme and Caring for Miami, has gathered a number of local wellness organizations to join them in a community health fair for needy families. The clinic will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at 6310 West 21st Court, Hialeah, Florida 33106 between 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Participating agencies will be providing the following screenings free of charge to the public:
— Vital signs
— Glucose
— Cholesterol
— BMI
— Breast and prostate cancer
Among the other services provided during the fair will be:
— Nutrition
— Smoking Cessation
— End of Life Care
— Affordable Care Act
— Children’s oral hygiene classes
— WIC Program
— Career Counseling
Free medical and dental services will be provided for the uninsured and under-resourced members of the community by Caringformiami.org. Dental extractions and fillings will be serviced on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointment slots are limited. A healthy lunch, free screenings and nutrition tips will be available for all attendees provided by Florida Blue. The first 150 families will receive food assistance from Farm Share.
