MIAMI, FL – February 7, 2018 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Organizers of Hispanicize 2018, the nation’s largest gathering of trendsetters and newsmakers in U.S. Hispanic marketing, social media, journalism and entertainment, today unveiled the day-by-day schedule overview of sessions and programs for their Miami event. The 9th annual event (www.HispanicizeEvent.com), takes place April 17-19 at the JW Marriott Marquis in downtown Miami. To Register for the event, click HERE.
“We’re sharing a more detailed agenda so our attendees, industry colleagues and influencers can plan their travel early to take advantage of the strong line-up we will deliver in Miami,” said Manny Ruiz, founder of the Hispanicize Media Group that owns the event. “If every day makes it hard to choose one day to attend over another, that’s by design and we’ve accomplished our mission.” A more detailed agenda with speakers, session titles and exact times, will be revealed starting next week.
MONDAY, APRIL 16
The “pre-treat” day before Hispanicize 2018 will feature private activities for digital influencers and is also the day that most Hispanicize attendees arrive in preparation for the first full day of Hispanicize, April 17th. Digital creator activities take place offsite and not at the event hotel. Attendees will already be able to pick up their badges.
TUESDAY, APRIL 17 – DAY 1
The first day of Hispanicize 2018 kicks off with a jam-packed agenda for all types of Hispanicize attendees:
Brands Love Creators Speed-Dating Breakfast: From a purely economic perspective, this is the most important program of the entire content creators showcase because it will feature dozens of brands and agencies in one big room who are looking to meet and partner with content creators.
Hispanicize CMO & Diversity Summit: Brands, agencies and media companies will be treated to the first day of an incredible marketing industry agenda that focuses on what brands are doing best in the U.S. Hispanic Market. A major highlight of all Hispanicize in 2017, this year’s summit will once again bring together a Who’s Who of major brand executives to share best practices, case studies, discussions and keynotes focused on U.S. Hispanic Marketing and Diversity success. This specific day of the event requires a separate badge and is only for brands, agencies and media companies who are registered for it.
Content Creators Track: The content creators track, a curated program designed for the nation’s top Latinx social media influencers, kicks off with the Brands Love Creators Speed-Dating Breakfast, followed immediately by workshop sessions, influencer showcases, and industry trend panels. This year’s content creators track is what was formerly known as DiMe Summit, a part of the program that is exclusively for content creators. The DiMe Summit will be moving to Hispanicize’s main host hotel in order to seamlessly blend with the exhibitor hall areas and conference events.
Hispanicize Music Showcase: The fourth annual music showcase at Hispanicize kicks-off on the first day of the event and will feature our signature “Artist on The Rise” music discovery platform that showcases the biggest rising stars in the Latin music scene. In addition to the daily “happy hour” live performances, the music track will feature dynamic and thought provoking sessions as well as intimate artist Q&As.
Hispanicize U: This is a national initiative that allows universities to send several hundred of their best and brightest communications and journalism seniors to attend Hispanicize 2018 at no cost. Hispanicize U will feature an entire career track just for Hispanicize U attendees, and those students will have almost fully unfettered access to all other tracks of Hispanicize 2018 as well as to the major career and job fair.
Hispanic Journalist Showcase: Curated by two former presidents of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Hugo Balta and Mekahlo Medina, the 6th annual Hispanic Journalist Showcase of Hispanicize is created to equip and empower journalists.
Opening Reception: The day ends with a major creative opening reception that will once again feature music artists. Last year we helped launch Juanes’ new album “Mis Planes Son Amarte” at the iconic Perez Art Museum. Hispanicize is full of surprises for 2018.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 – DAY 2
The Hispanicize CMO & Diversity Summit, Hispanicize U and the Hispanic Journalist Showcase, Hispanicize Creator Track, and the Hispanicize Music Showcase, will all resume during Day 2 of Hispanicize 2018 but this day also features several other programs that are unique to this day, such as:
The Hispanicize Diversity Marketing and Communications Career Fair: This U.S. Hispanic marketing industry-first program will take place from 1 to 5:30 p.m. in the main exhibit floor and will be open to advertising, marketing, PR, social media and journalism professionals as well as university seniors from select partner institutions nationwide. Hispanicize will facilitate the space and process for agencies, brands and private companies from across the country who want to coordinate meetings with job candidates.
Hispanic Social Media & PR Industry Showcase: After two days of marketing sessions devoted exclusively to top brands, Hispanicize will return to its earliest roots with a day and a half of sessions tailored to social media and PR pros. This mini track is being curated in partnership with the Hispanic Public Relations Association and the Public Relations Society of America.
The Positive Impact Awards: The Prudential-sponsored PIAs, the ultimate VIP gala event and national award of all Hispanicize, celebrates outstanding individuals nationwide who volunteer their time and resources to make a difference in the lives of Hispanic Americans across the country.
THURSDAY, APRIL 19 – DAY 3
As with all Hispanicize event, we love to save some of our best things for last. On this day, Hispanicize U, the Hispanic Journalist Showcase, The Hispanicize Music Showcase and the Hispanic Social Media & PR Industry Showcase resume and the program ends with several important programs:
Latinovator Breakfast: Hispanicize will switch its Latinovator Award to a morning breakfast in the hotel’s famous 19th floor.
The Latino Perfect Pitch: The LPP is a small business competition for entrepreneurs, digital influencers and bloggers seeking an opportunity to take their business to the next level.
